    Today, taking the Wuhan UHV cable AC withstand voltage series resonant device as an example, we will briefly introduce the AC withstand voltage tester, a portable variable frequency resonant boost device for cables. It uses the method of adjusting the frequency of the power supply to achieve resonance between the reactor and the tested capacitor, obtaining high voltage and high current on the tested object. This is a new method and trend in current high-voltage testing, which has been widely used both domestically and internationally.     

        

    The frequency conversion resonant boost device adopts a dedicated SPWM digital waveform generation chip with a frequency resolution of 16 bits, and the frequency fineness can reach 0.1Hz between 20-300Hz. It adopts an orthogonal asynchronous fixed carrier modulation method to ensure good output waveform throughout the entire frequency range; The power section adopts advanced IPM modules to ensure instrument stability and safety with minimal weight.


    The structure and performance characteristics of the AC voltage tester:


    1) The placement of variable frequency power supply is vertical and horizontal, which is particularly suitable for on-site operation and observation;  


    2) Equipped with special shock-absorbing rubber support feet and protective aluminum boxes inside and outside, it can effectively reduce the vibration during transportation and the impact during lifting. Ensuring the long-term stability and reliability of the variable frequency power supply;  


    3) Parameter display: The touch or external mouse large screen LCD interface display system can display resonance voltage (i.e. the target voltage set before the test), test frequency, measurement frequency, low voltage voltage, low voltage current, withstand voltage time, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, flashover protection, stage boosting and timing, operation mode switching, capacitance, inductance, frequency exchange calculation, parameter query, etc. It can also display frequency curves, voltage curves, etc., which can intuitively judge the accuracy and stability of the resonance frequency of the current test;  


    4) Parameter settings: The large screen touch LCD color screen and external mouse can directly complete various parameter settings, including starting frequency, ending frequency, starting voltage, stage boosting and timing, measuring voltage divider ratio, excitation ratio, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, flashover protection, test mode, capacitor inductor frequency exchange calculation, parameter setting prompts, and assistance;


    5) Experimental mode: touch screen and external mouse operation, with three operating states: fully automatic, semi-automatic, and manual. Equipped with functions such as boosting, tuning (including manual and automatic), segmented boosting and timing, operating status, mode switching, fault prompt, capacitor inductor frequency exchange calculation, etc;  


    6) Protection function and information prompt: It has multiple protection functions such as high voltage overvoltage protection, low voltage overcurrent protection, overcurrent protection, as well as detuning protection, zero position, flashover protection, emergency stop, undervoltage protection, etc;  


    7) Data storage function: saving, printing, uploading, and retrieving test results, etc

    ① Test results: After the manual or automatic test is completed, the detailed parameters of the test can be displayed in the test results interface. When the test is interrupted, the interruption status can be prompted. The parameters can be saved in a non-volatile memory that can hold 50 test records;  

    ② Data query: The saved test result data can be displayed on the screen, and it also has a USB interface that can output and print the data or use the printer carried by the device for printing;  


    8) Automatic voltage stabilization function: The system automatically tracks and maintains a stable test voltage based on the set test voltage or manual boost result, with a voltage stability of up to 1.0%;  


    9) The frequency range and frequency resolution can be set: the frequency range can be set to 30-300Hz, 45-100Hz, 200-300Hz, as needed, which can accelerate the tuning process; The frequency resolution can be preset as 0.1Hz, 0.05Hz, 0.02Hz, or 0.01Hz as needed, achieving an optimized balance between tuning efficiency and tuning accuracy;  


    10) Frequency adjustment is divided into coarse and fine adjustments, and can automatically find the test resonance point to ensure that the resonance frequency does not drift throughout the entire test process.
